Hot Stone
Dated back to the ancient Tibetan monks, hot stone (rock) massage relaxes the central nervous system. The heat of the stones combined with your desired pressure from the therapist, releases the tightness deep within the muscle tissue.
Therapeutic
It is a type of massage used to help relieve pain to a specific area say, the sciatic, shoulder, hip, neck etc… therapeutic bodywork also is used for reducing stress. Your therapist may use hot stones, trigger point, myofascial, NMT (neuromuscular massage therapy), sport massage or stretches. We use a combination of these modalities that best fits you.
Swedish
This massage consists of effleurage (smooth gliding stroke), petrissage ( kneading ), friction, mild stretching or tapotement. Swedish massage is used to promote relaxation and well being.
Deep Tissue
Similar to a Swedish massage but with deeper pressure. It is beneficial in releasing toxins and chronic muscle tension. The therapist concentrates on the deeper layers of muscle tissue, bones, joints, tendons and fascia (connective tissue surrounding the joints).
